The GMDSS system includes:

- VHF Radio - Short-range communication and DSC emergency signaling. For example: Icom IC-M605, Sailor 6215 VHF DSC.

- MF/HF Radio - Long-range communication and DSC emergency signaling.

For example: Furuno FS-1575, Sailor 6310 MF/HF DSC.

- EPIRB - Emergency Position Indicating Beacon

For example: Kannad Marine EPIRB, McMurdo SmartFind G8 AIS EPIRB.

- SART - Distress Response Equipment

For example: Jotron Tron SART20, McMurdo S4 Rescue SART.

- NAVTEX Receiver - Receives weather information, security warnings, maritime safety.

Examples: Furuno NX-300, JRC NCR- 333.

- INMARSAT C - Satellite communication, sending and receiving emails, emergency messages.

Examples: Thrane & Thrane SAILOR 6110 mini-C, JRC JUE-87.

- AIS - Automatic Identification System

Examples: Furuno FA170, Simrad NAIS-500. - Two-way VHF radio

- Internal communication on board and between the ship and the life raft.

Examples: Icom IC-M73, Standard Horizon HX870.

- Antenna backup power for radio and satellite equipment. Function: Ensures continuous power supply and stable communication signals.
